2009 DR Mission Team Fundraisers

All fundraisers for the DR Mission Team are optional! If you are interested in raising money to fund your trip to the Dominican Republic, read below to learn more.

Main Event: Saturday, Februrary 28, 2009 - Sheehan High School, Wallingford

- fliers, letters, forms, letterhead available for download.

• Concert and Show - 7 pm

• Dinner - 5 pm - 6:30 pm

• Silent Auction throughout the event

What we need to do . . .

MEETINGS - we need all involved to make every effort to be at these planning meetings. It is a huge undertaking, and we need everyone’s help. Here are the future meetings to plan this event (at 1st Baptist Wallingford):

• Sunday, January 25 - 3 pm - 4 pm
• Sunday, February 8 - 3:15 - 4 pm (right after DR Team meeting)
• Sunday, February 15 - 3 pm - 4 pm
• Saturday, February 28 - event at Sheehan

TICKETS - everyone who is interested can sell tickets to this event for $10 ($7 for students) with all proceeds going directly toward their trip to the Dominican Republic. DINNER - we need EVERYONE’s help with cooking dinner for this many people! Please invite your family and friends to help with working on this. We also need to solicit food donations to cut down our expenses. Toni Wood - tonithegreat123@comcast.net or 203-949-9456.

SILENT AUCTION - we need to solicit donated services, items, vacations, gift baskets, etc. that can be auctioned off the night of the fundraiser. Those who solicit and collect items will be eligible to split the proceeds from the silent auction after we pay any expenses. Ruth Palmer - 203-269-6563.
