The DR Mission Team Experience, held on April 10 at New Life Mountain Ridge, Wallingford, celebrated the efforts of hundreds of local volunteers and supporters who are bringing help and hope the poor in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Hundreds of guests at this year's event enjoyed a spectacular silent auction, fabulous hors d’oeuvres and treats, inspiring live music, and a very special interactive experience.
The night also featured some very special guests from La Romana, Dominican Republic including Pastor Elza Phanord and her daughter, Johanne, as well as Moises Sifren, the Administrator of the Good Samaritan Hospital. They and others in attendance helped the DR Mission Team celebrate their 25th anniversary
of the first trip to La Romana in 1990. Since then, over 1,500 local people have had the opportunity to volunteer and the help the very poor in the DR.
All proceeds benefited the 2015 Dominican Republic Mission Team, which will send 180-200 local people to La Romana, DR, this summer and fall to help the very poor.
