Since 1990, The First Baptist Church of Wallingford, Connecticut has led mission/work trips to La Romana, Dominican Republic. These trips have had a tremendous impact on those who have travelled to the DR to help build the Good Samaritan General Hospital, provide desperately needed medical clinics, and other related projects. This effort extends far beyond our church doors - many others from different churches, denominations, towns and states have joined us on our annual trips to the DR.

In July 2006, the Record-Journal sent journalist Dan Champagne with the mission team to write daily articles and several feature stories for the newspaper. These articles and photos have been compiled here for your convenience.
